Every Client Relationship In Counselling Is Different!

It would be easy to assume that Counsellors are trained in "how" to do Counselling... but it's more than that...

I've actually been trained in "how to be".

You see Counselling is a set of conditions which I aim to offer to you - privacy, acceptance, empathy, understanding, compassion, and more. Each one a piece of connection that enables a relationship to form between us...

And it is in this relationship that the work is done.

So each encounter of souls becomes it's own thing - every relationship that is formed is different and develops it's own way of being that is shared between us.

It's a co-constructed experience nurtured into existence and wholly unique to us. With a different therapist, that relationship, that experience, would be completely different. Each time we meet, we are slightly changed from the developing relationship between us. That means greater levels of connection and understanding.

Just as I cannot expect to ever again have a working relationship like ours, I don't think you could expect your healing to work in the same way as it does with me as your chosen Counsellor...

And that's kind of the beauty of all of this...

It's about humans being human in very real relationships...

Unique experiences that you simply cannot find anywhere else!

I guess this is why it’s so important to find a Counsellor with whom you share that connection, someone that truly sees and understands you. You’ll know them when you find them!

With warmth,

James
